I got up early everyday for 5 days and rode different sections. The southern section was reliable in this area. There are some pit stops along the way which consist of an outhouse and a bench or two, but they are mostly in unshaded areas. I bought a Cardinal Greenways Trail User Guide for a mere $2 and found it to be chock full of good info and detailed maps.I hate to sound at all negative, but there is some critical info I need to share: there are countless road crossings and some of the roads are quite busy. It's a really good trail, but there are just enough shortcomings that I hesitate to put it at 5 stars, particularly compared to trails I've been on in West Virginia and Pennsylvania earlier in the year. The scenery changes enough, so don't worry about getting bored with your surroundings. First, I'll note that I didn't notice any pig farms, despite expecting to on the southern section, nor any Rottweilers. This is the best maintained trail we have ever been on.
